Dancers and CMAs Wanted

Dance & Robotics Research Study for Dancers/CMAs

FOR DANCERS:

Researchers in the Robotics, Automation, and Dance (RAD) Lab at UIUC in the Mechanical Science and Engineering Department are looking for individuals with at least 5 years of dance experience to participate in a study on Character Archetypes. Dance experience can be defined in many ways, including training, frequent performance viewing, and performing, etc.

If you agree to participate in the study, you will watch videos of dancers and robots, and you will fill out a questionnaire about character archetypes and your experience watching the videos. Participants have the rights to quit at any time during the study. The experiment will take about 45 minutes to complete, and participants will be paid $20 upon completion of the questionnaire.

FOR Certified Movement Analysts (CMAs):

Researchers in the Robotics, Automation, and Dance (RAD) Lab at UIUC in the Mechanical Science and Engineering Department are looking for Certified Movement Analysts (CMA’s) to participate in a study on Character Archetypes.

If you agree to participate in the study, you will watch videos of dancers and robots, and you will fill out a questionnaire about character archetypes and your experience watching the videos. Participants have the rights to quit at any time during the study. The experiment will take about 90 minutes to complete, and participants will be paid $50 upon completion of the questionnaire.
